This weekend was the 2014 Humble District Science Fair. Haylee Pupo won 1st place for all 3rd graders. In addition she was awarded 2nd place Best-in-Show for all Humble ISD K through 5th grade. This is her third year as a Timbers science fair participant. Each of those three years she also competed at and placed at the district level!
Please join us for dinner on Thursday, April 24th at Spring Creek Barbeque. Spring Creek will donate 20% of proceeds from dinner service between 5-9pm. They will also award the top three classrooms with the highest attendance by giving those students prized which may include a t-shirt, key chain, and $10 Spring Creek Gift Card. Just make sure students tell the greeters the name of their teacher at the door. Teachers and staff members will be on hand meeting, greeting, and serving. Give mom a break from cooking and join us for food and fun!

Ladies and Gentlemen...children of all ages..come one and all to the Science Circus Night heading to TE on May 1st from 6-7:30pm. Be amazed by the strength of magnets, build a human electricty circuit and magically make snow right here in Texas! There will be popcorn for all at the end of the night. Families wil be able to move from classroom to classroom all around the school experimenting and making all kids of science discoveries. The first 100 students completing at least ten activities will receive a spirit stick!!! See you under the Science Big Top on May 1st!!!
Super Kids Day is Friday, May 2, 2014. We need volunteers to work according to the following schedule K, 4th, and 5th: 9-11am and 1st, 2nd, 3rd from 12-2pm. There are 3 different areas to volunteer: 1. Kindergarten 2. PE Activity Stations 3. PTO Booths **This year, parents will be allowed to attend only as volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, contact Sarena@timberspto.com or complete the volunteer form coming home soon.

Let’s tip our hats to ending childhood cancer! Please bring your $1 donation to school on Thursday, May 8th and wear your hat. If you bring $2, you will also receive an Addisfaith bracelet to show your support in fighting cancer. Let’s make a difference! Addi’s Faith Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending childhood cancer. Our purpose is to raise funds for research in pediatric brain tumors as well as provide financial assistance to families struggling to care for a child with cancer. We believe that there is a cure out there and together we can find it.
