Inspiring Moments

Humble ISD’s commitment to students is not limited to academics. Effective schools serve the whole child. With that in mind, Student Support Services and Counseling Staff authored a new social and emotional wellness curriculum. The curriculum is based on Paul Tough’s book, “How Children Succeed,” which provides research showing there really is no "secret to success."Successful people incorporate social and emotional skills into their lives and work. This new curriculum – which Humble ISD named The Great 8 – is being used by counselors and teachers to help students learn and grow. .
