Year Round Events
Spirit Mondays – Every Monday is Spirit Day at LSE! Students and Staff are encouraged to wear any LSE school Spirit Shirt or Hoodie. Each Monday morning, a class count will be taken and the top FIVE classes with the most school spirit will receive a spirit stick for the week!
Third Thursdays – LSE receives a portion of proceeds from Papa John’s Pizza in Atascocita on every 3rd Thursday. All you have to do is phone in your order at 281-812-7272 and let them know you are with LSE!
Future Fridays – Every Friday is Future Friday at LSE! Students and Staff are encouraged to wear clothing representing a College, University, or Trade School to show the importance of post secondary education. We look forward to seeing many colleges represented at our school!
PTO Meetings – The first General Meeting
is Monday, September 23rd at
6:30 pm in the gym. Join us. Let’s talk and grow together! Future meetings will be held Monthly on the 1st Monday of each month at 6:30pm in the library.
Junior Achievement – A volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential. Students who participate in Junior Achievement programs demonstrate a significant understanding of economics and business concepts, particularly those who participate in programs at early grade levels. Volunteers Needed.
Spirit Nights – Give yourself a break: Take the crew out for dinner and raise money for the school at the same time!! Spring Creek BBQ, Ubberito, Culvers and every third Thursday at Papa John’s (delivery). Several Spirit Nights are held throughout the year and announced in the Leopard Spot e-newsletter and our FaceBook page!
Family Game Night – Friday, September 23rd, 2016
Spring Creek Spirit Night – Get your BBQ on and come out to Spring Creek for dinner. LSE receives a portion of all proceeds for the night and the 3 classes with the highest number of students in attendance receive fun prizes from Spring Creek. Teachers come out to serve bread and parents get to skip making dinner! October 13, 2016
Red Ribbon Week – A week of activities focusing on being drug free and anti-bullying campaigns. Each day has a theme. Ex: Silly Sock Day, Mustache You to be Drug Free, etc. Watch The Leopard’s Spot newsletter for more details.
Veteran’s Day Breakfast – Feel the pride as our students sing patriotic songs saluting our Veterans. Breakfast will follow and is provided by PTO volunteers. Veterans are invited to wear their uniforms proudly! Tuesday, November 10th at 8:30am
Family Movie Night – Bring the whole family to snuggle up in front of the huge outdoor screen. This event is FREE! Glow-sticks, Popcorn, snacks & drinks will be available for purchase. Come early so you can dance with your friends to our DJ’s jams! Remember your blankets or low lawn chairs. Volunteers Needed. Friday, November 4th
Jingle Bell Fun Run – Parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, everyone is welcome to participate. Family members laps count, so join your student during their specials for a great way to exercise together. Don’t forget your Santa hats or Christmas attire. The class with the most laps in each grade level wins 30 minutes of gym time. Volunteers Needed. December 15th
Polar Express Day – Students come to school in their favorite pajamas and enjoy watching the Polar Express movie. PTO provides bells for all students. Date TBA in December
Winter Musical – Each year, Mr. Kaciuba directs a winter musical. There will be two performances by different casts. This is always a must see! Dates in December TBA.
Winter Parties – Held on the last day of
school before Winter Break. Kids get to
enjoy an hour of crafts, games, yummy treats, and most of all fun! All parties are planned and coordinated by Room
Parents and the Grade Level Lead Room Parent.

Science Fair – Students participate in fun science projects and compete against each other. The top 3 winners from each grade go on to the District Science Fair. Volunteers Needed. Date TBA
Community Spring Carnival – Our largest fundraiser, and the one most anticipated by our
families and community. It gets bigger
and better every year! We have
inflatables, bungee- jumpers, rock walls, face painting, balloon-animal makers,
an exciting live auction, fabulous silent auction baskets, a DJ, a car
show, a game truck, a fire truck, small business vendor spaces and more!
We partner with many of our community supporters make it all happen. Volunteers
Needed. Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 12 to 4pm
Field Day – Students participate in PE games, enjoy concessions and fun! Volunteers Needed.
Staff Appreciation Week – We try to give teachers and staff a few tokens of appreciation, yummy treats, a bountiful breakfast, and some “break” time, so they know just how much we value and appreciate all that they do to make Lakeshore the very best school! Volunteers Needed.
5th Grade Manners Banquet – Part of a District requirement, all 5th grade students dress up for a luncheon practicing manners and etiquette. Date TBA
Book Fair – Hosted twice a year, students get to choose and purchase their own books at reasonable prices. Teachers also set out a wish list for their classroom libraries. Volunteers Needed. Date TBA.
