Cell Phones/Electronic Devices

Cell phones and electronic devices, if brought to school, must be turned off and kept in

the student's locker. Once inside RMS, the device must be off and placed into the

student's locker.

Inside the Classroom

  • Teacher will confiscate the device, if a student has a cell phone/electronic device out in

class.

  • Device that is out in class will be considered a Distraction / Disruption offense.

  • Explanation of this offense can be found on page DM-12, in the student handbook.

  • Cell phones/electronic devices will be sent to the AP Office.

  • Student will automatically receive a D-hall / Detention and the parents will be notified.

  • Fine of $15 will be required in order to get back the device.

  • Student is responsible for picking up the device after school in the AP Office.

Outside the Classroom / But Inside the Building

1st Offense

  • Staff member will take the device to the assistant principalfs office.

  •  Student will be responsible for picking up the device after school.

2nd Offense

  • Staff member will take the device to the assistant principalfs office.

  • Fine of $15 will be required, and the parent will be notified.

  •  Student is responsible for picking up the device in the AP office after school.
