BBE Spanish Immersion Program

You are invited to an informational meeting for current Humble ISD kindergarten students regarding the Spanish Immersion Program (SIP) on Tuesday, 26 February 2013 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Pine Forest Elementary School, 19702 W. Lake Houston Parkway, Humble 77346.

The SIP teaches Spanish through the content area classes beginning in 1st grade. The 1st graders will have 90% of their day in Spanish, transitioning to 50% in 5th grade.

Applications for the program will be available at the meeting and there are entrance criteria in order to apply for this program. Current kindergarten students may register for the program beginning Friday, 01 March.

The SIP begins in the 1st grade at either Bear Branch Elementary (if students are from schools in the Kingwood attendance area) or Pine Forest Elementary (if students are from schools in the Atascocita, Humble, Fall Creek, or Summerwood attendance areas).

Applications are due on or before Friday, 29 March 2013 by 3:30 p.m. and must be turned in to either BBE or PFE, depending upon the area of attendance as described above. Applications will also be available at BBE and PFE after the 26 February informational meeting.
