Welcome to Timbers Elementary!
We had a wodnerful school year! I hope you have an amazing summer! Get some rest, do something fun and continue to READ everyday! We will see you again in August!

Timbers serves the communities of Atasca South, Astaca Woods, and PreK 4.

We have students in Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grade who are excited to be a part of our school. Our staff is outstanding and their goal is to help each of their students reach their fullest potential both academically and socially.

We provide our students with computers in every classroom along with two complete Dell labs. Students and staff have access to ipads, smart boards, scanners, printers, digital cameras and the latest in new technology.

Our staff is very involved in Balanced Literacy which provides a comprehensive program connecting reading, phonics, writing and language arts. We use Words Their Way for our Spelling to help students understand how words are made, not just memorize them for a weekly test. The teachers model components, strategies and techniques to increase students reading and writing skills. We want all students to become successful, independent readers and writers. We use a Balanced Math program with Math Investigations to have the students get a deeper understanding of math concepts. Our teachers use GT and SIOP strategies to reach all students and their different learning styles.
