About Us

Kingwood High School Key Club is a service organization that is student led and performs service to the community and for other service organizations. KHS Key Club is located in the Texas-Oklahoma District, which is a part of Key Club International. We have meetings every other Tuesday and board meetings every other Tuesday afternoon during the school year. There are a certain amount of hours that members have to obtain every two months to be in good standing with the club. The reason that Key Club exists is because of the excellent support that we get from our sponsor club, the Kingwood Kiwanis. Kiwanis is a club that is very active in the community and helps out Key Club more than anyone knows. We have a very exciting year ahead, with many different major service projects that the club will be participating in. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email our officers.

Points

10 points every 2 months must be earned to be a member in good standing. Points can be earned in 2 ways: A mandatory Key Club Event, Volunteer work in the community or attending meetings. You will need to do all to be able to earn the 10 points. 2 out of your 10 points can be earned as "drive" points. A drive point usually means that you have made a donation to Key Club in a pre-approved way. For example; coke tabs and old eye glasses can earn you drive points. Bringing supplies needed for an event can also earn you drive points. Attending meetings can earn you drive points etc... ALWAYS keep a copy of your point sheet with you! It must be verified by an adult in attendance of the function you are volunteering at, or an officer if it is a Key Club event. Make a copy of it for your own records BEFORE turning it in for credit.
