Credit Recovery and Tutoring |
Kingwood Park High School is initiating an afterschoool
Credit Recovery Program
which will allow students the opportunity to regain LOST CREDITS using a computer program. Students can work at their own pace and recover as many credits as they can in the allotted six week session. These sessions will be held 4 days a week, Monday-Thursday from 2:45- 4:15, in one of our computer labs. Students can only take courses they have previously failed, as initial credit will not be an option. Seniors will be given priority admittance into the class; however all KPHS students will have this opportunity if there is space available. The fee for each 6 week session is $125, which is non-refundable. If a student does not complete a course in one session, he/she may re-enroll for the following 6 weeks for an additional fee. Payment may only be made by cash, or money order or cashier's check made out to KPHS.
Those who are interested in enrolling need to contact their counselor immediately. We must have enough students enroll in order to offer this program.
Extra tutoring
will now be available on most Monday nights from 6-8 p.m. in the KPHS library.
Teachers from all core classes will be available to students wanting/needing extra help.
Tutoring is available on the following dates: February 8, and 22 March 1, 8, 22 and 29 April 5, 12, 19 and 26 May 3, 10, 17 and 24 |
