New guidelines for requesting transfers or Schools of Choice Program options

Parents in Humble ISD may request permission for their child(ren) to participate in Schools of Choice Program options or transfer to a school in another attendance zone according to approved criteria and time lines.

It is important to note that ALL requests submitted within the application periods will be considered but that NO applications will be considered until the first date of an application period! The transfer office will not open until the first day of a filing period when the transfer specialist will respond to questions and begin processing applications. Parents are requested to hold applications until the application period begins. Any applications received before the period begins will be held until the first day of the filing period. Filing period timelines are:

• For QHS and KPHS - Feb. 16 -Apr. 15, 2009
• For IB, CATE, Early College/Dual Credit - Feb. 16 - Apr.15, 2009 
• For General Transfers - March 15- April 30
