SchoolCenter PictureA Note from Mr. Ward and Mr. Caston

We have noticed that many of our younger boys have grown since marching season and we know that their uniform pants would have to be altered....in some cases altered A LOT!!  We are concerned about fitting for Contest on April 27th. We would prefer not put ourselves and the kids though the process of calling them all back in for a uniform "re-fitting".  Trying to have the pants altered for a one time performance seems somewhat unreasonable to us, especially since were are only 3-1/2 months away from fitting and checking out marching uniforms for the fall semester next school year.

We are moving in the direction of standard black concert dress for the band.  Until we can afford to purchase concert uniforms, we are going to a transition uniform.   Starting with the UIL contest on April 27th we would prefer for the guys to wear black pants (slacks) and a flat white button down oxford type shirt (Wal mart etc.) with dark shoes and a belt (no tie).  The girls could wear a black dress of some sort as long as it is of modest length with shoes (not sandals, etc.)  They could even do a black skirt with a white top (or shirt). These clothes certainly don't have to only worn to band events.  The could be something that could be worn at other concerts (including the spring concert) and could even be worn in the future until we make the move to go with standard black for concert attire

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
