Lady Eagle Soccer all-time leading scorer

Congratulations to Senior soccer player Kelsi Brown. Last week she became the school's all-time leading scoring with a career total of 58 goals.

  Artists Extraordinaire

Kenneth Smith, Mariah Tekulve, Brittany Austin, and Allison Recchilongo are all smiling about awards they are about to receive as recognized students of the Scholastic Art and Writing contest.  Kenneth (Drawing III), Mariah (AP Studio art) and Allison (Sculpture III) will be awarded silver keys at a reception at Texas Art Supply January 24th.  Brittany Austin (AP Studio) will be our first AHS to receive a Gold Key award for her work titled "Summer Vacation"--a drawing of her little sister's bare feet.  Gold key awards will be presented February 4th, when we see if Brittany's work goes onto the national competition in New York.  Their teachers Steffani Zachry-Holubec and Mick Watson, could not be more proud!

Women's Soccer

Based on the team's overall GPA (3.47) from last school year, our team received the TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD from the NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America). The award is given for exceptional academic performance as a team for the year 2008-2009.
