Instructional Technology
Request for Training
Our Department is
committed to providing training to our teachers and staff in Humble ISD. We are willing to meet the individual needs
of the schools by offering on-site training at the campuses. Training can be provided during the school
day (conference periods training), after school, or on campus in-service
days.
To request a
training session after school:
-
Designate a person from your staff as
the contact person for the training. (This could be you or the Campus IT)
-
Let us know what specific training you
need.
-
Training sessions are in 1, 2 and 3
hour increments.
-
Class sizes are 10-25 people. There
must be a minimum of 10 people for the training.
-
If your campus cannot meet the 10
people minimum for training, then you may recruit teachers from other
schools.
-
If there are fewer than 10 people
there on the day of the training, it will be cancelled.
-
Coordinate the training through email
with Shanna James (or the District Instructional Technology Specialist for
your campus) a minimum of two weeks prior to the training dates requested.
-
Once the dates and times are set, the
course will be entered into the escWorks system by the District
Instructional Technology Specialist for teachers to enroll.
-
The contact person will be responsible
for making sure that participants are signed up prior to the training.
Responsibility of
the host school:
-
Work out the details with the
designated trainer.
-
Let the trainer know what type of computers
and how many will be available in the lab.
-
Provide a training station with a
projector, or let us know if one is needed.
-
Make sure that teachers are reminded of
the training.
