School doors are open promptly at 7:30. Staff members will be in the cafeteria at 7:30 to supervise students. Students will be dismissed from the cafeteria to their classrooms at 7:55. Students who arrive after 8:05 are considered tardy.
Students who are walking home or riding their bikes home are dismissed at 3:08. Car riders and day care riders are dismissed at 3:10 and bus riders are dismissed at 3:15.
Kindergarten is dismissed at 1:50.

Please make every effort to have your child arrive by 8:00. Tardiness of any sort or perpetual tardiness causes students to miss out on important routines. Students are considered tardy at 8:05 and must report to the office for a pass to enter the classroom.

A determination will be made by the campus administrators at 3:00 pm to determine if we will have a Rainy Day Dismissal. Rainy Day dismissal will only be utilized when there is visible lightening and/or thunder and/or heavy rain. During Rainy Day dismissal, all children except bus riders or day care van riders will be considered car riders. No students will be allowed to walk or ride their bicycle home during a Rainy Day dismissal. Please make sure that your child is aware of your plans should a Rainy Day Dismissal be called.

Lost and Found is located at the end of the front hallway by the cafeteria in the brown cabinet. Students and parents are encouraged to look through the cabinet for any lost items. At the end of each semester all items that are not claimed are donated to a local charity. Every effort will be made to return any items with names on them.

To keep classroom disruptions to a minimum, we ask that you put all forgotten items that you bring to school on the cart in the front hallway. Deliveries will be made at 10:00. If you are bringing money please bring to the office. Lunches will not be delivered, so make sure your child knows to check the cart if you will be bringing lunch, or you can sign in to the building and meet your child at lunch.

Absence Line: 281-641-2619
Official attendance time for ADA is 10:00AM. When your child is absent for any reason, please call the absence line at 281-641-2619 (before 9:00 AM). The attendance line is accessible 24 hours a day. Leave a message with your child's name, date of absence, teacher's name, and a reason for the absence. When your child returns to school send a written and dated excuse to the front office explaining the absence. Please bring a note from the physician's office if your child was absent due to an appointment. We must have the written excuse on record within three days of your child's return to school. Any student coming to school after 10:00 without a doctor note is considered absent on the official attendance accounting records.

Students are expected to make up work missed while they were absent. They will be given full credit for work done that satisfies the conditions of the district policy for make-up work. This typically follows the guildeline of 1 day absent = 1 day to make up work, 2 days absent = 2 days to make-up work, etc.
Immediately upon returning to school, the student must contact teachers concerning arrangements for making up work.
For pre-arranged absences, please allow 24 hours for the work to be assemble and submitted to the office for pick-up (at the teacher's option)

State law requires that all visitors register in the front office immediately after entering the campus. This procedure is the best method for locating your child as well as ensuring the best protection for your child. A visitor's pass is necessary for visiting all areas of the school. All visitors will be required to present a drivers license that will be scanned through the Department of Public Safety's identification system.
Parents must make prior arrangements with the school administrator when desiring to observe their child's classroom. No visitors are allowed during standardized testing or during formal classroom observations being conducted by the campus administrator.
