The mission of the National Technical Honor Society is to honor student
achievement and leadership, promote education excellence and enhance
career opportunities for the NTHS membership. 
Eligibility Criteria:
To be inducted into The National Technical Honor Society, students are
required to meet strict criteria and membership is by invitation only.

NTHS Standards

Academic Record

NTHS candidates must have overall GPA of 3.25 or above.

Grade Classification

NTHS candidates must be classified as sophomores, juniors or seniors.

Career/Technical Student Organizations Participation

NTHS candidates must be currently affiliated (dues paid) with the national CTSO and provide proof of participation above the local level (district, region, state, national).

Career/Technology Education Classes

NTHS candidates will complete one CTE courses prior to nomination. Student must currently be enrolled in a CTE course when nomination is received.


NTHS members should be good, honest, responsible student-citizens who have made a personal commitment to excellence and who agree to uphold the NTHS Standards of Conduct.

Volunteer Hours

 Students must complete 40 community service hours AND participate in at least 2 NTHS Chapter Service Projects each year.

Membership fees

Members will submit a one-time $30 membership fee and annual dues of $10.00. (a service charge of 4% will be incurred for online payment and will be added to your total due.)
