Best Buddies

This organization promotes one to one friendships with peers.  Best Buddies is sponsored
at most of the humble isd high schools.  You can ask for more information from your
teachers or the special education department head at your campus.  For more

Be sure to check out all the after school clubs offered at your campus; school
orientation is a great time to find out what is available and sign up for the year.
You'll find all sorts of clubs from gardening to music, fellowship of christian
athletes, chess, academics and much more!  
   
YMCA 
YMCA SPECIAL FRIENDS

Kids Night Out is for fun with friends one Friday night every month.  You will be teamed 
up with a buddy for activities including sports, arts and crafts....and of course
food!  Sign up by calling the  Lake Houston YMCA.
 
Young Adult Dances  is for ages 16 and over. Enjoy dancing, refreshments and
hanging out with friends. See event calendar for dates and call the Lake Houston YMCA
to register.

The Lake Houston YMCA provides an after school child care program for students in  
Humble ISD.  You can ride the bus from your school to the YMCA program.  Check with

Strawbridge Methodist Church.  It"s located in Kingwood on 5629 Kingwood Drive.  For

Second Baptist Church North Campus
 
Check out the special needs Sunday School class at Second Baptist Church on
Loop 494 in Kingwood!  Their classes are from 9:30 and 11:00 on Sunday mornings and

Water Sports

Saturday at the Arc

Head to Saturday Fun Days for a day of recreation and community activity!  They're held
one to two Saturdays a month during the school year with groups designed for various

HUMBLE BASEBALL LEAGUE

Be an Olympic athlete! The Humble-Kingwood Special Olympics program represents  
more than 75 athletes who regularly practice and compete in many sports including
basketball, bowling, aquatics, equestrian, golf, table tennis, tennis, and cycling.
