Documents needed for enrollment:
Proof of residence (Sale or lease contact, current gas, electric, or water bill)
Original Birth Certificate
Original Social Security Card
Immunization records up to date
Valid Drivers License of parent/guardian
Last Report card and mailing address of previous school
If your child is absent you are asked to call and report the absence to the school. Please include student's name, grade, teacher and symptoms. Please write a note for your child's absence upon his/her return to school.
Please allow 24 hours notice when a child is to be withdrawn from SFE. The custodial parent will need to make an appointment with the registrar to come to the office to sign the withdrawal papers.
Rainy Day Dismissal
A determination will be made by a campus administrator at 3:00 pm to determine if we will have a Rainy Day Dismissal. This dismissal will only be utilized when there is visible lightening and/or thunder or pouring down rain. Light rain only does not constitute a need for Rainy Day Dismissal. During this dismissal, all children except day care van riders, will be considered car riders. No students will be allowed to walk or ride their bike home during a Rainy Day Dismissal. The Buses will run as normal. Please make sure that your child is aware of your plans should a Rainy Day Dismissal be called.
If your child forgets an item such as homework, lunch box, jacket...please place the item on the cart outside the front office with the student's name & teacher on it by 10:00. Deliveries will be made at 10:05. If you have money to be delivered please come into the front office.
Regular & consistent attendance is one of the single most important reasons a child achieves success at school. All students are expected to attend school regularly in order to derive maximum benefit from the instructional program. Letters will be sent home when a student has missed 7 or more days. Refer to the Humble ISD handbook for more information.
The tardy bell rings at 8:05 and students are expected to be in class at that time to receive instructions for the day. Promptness is stressed and is expected. Students who enter a class after the tardy bell are a disruption to that class.
If a student arrives after 8:05 they are to report to the front office for a tardy slip. If a student arrives after 10:00, parents must sign in the student at the front office. After 10:00 a student is considered absent for that day unless they have been to the doctor and present a doctor's note upon arrival.
Students Checking Out Early
If your student needs to leave early for an appointment, please send a note in with the time needed for pickup. The teacher will send student to the front office to get an alarm clock and the student will be waiting for you in the office for signout.
All dismissal changes must be made in writing prior to 2:45 The front office cannot take any dismissal changes over the telephone. In order to notify your student of the change before dismissal procedures begin, any change needs to be sent to the office before this time.
