In this class we will be exploring topics such the impact of the fashion movement, designers, the economics of fashion, global fashion marketing,visual merchandising and the promotion of fashion. 

 

We will even have the opportunity to travel to one of the fashion headquarters of the world...ITALY!  during spring break. 

 

Over the course of the semester we will cover the following units:

Unit One: The History of Fashion

Unit Two: The Fashion Industry

Unit Three: Textiles and Fabrics

Unit Four: Designers and the Making of Fashion

Unit Five: The Beauty and Fragrance Industry

Unit Six: Careers in the Fashion Industry
