KINGWOOD PARK HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL MISSION STATEMENT

We will encourage every Kingwood Park High School student-athlete to become a champion.  We will foster an environment where academic integrity, social responsibility and respect for others, and competitive athletic excellence are highly valued.  We will help you discover and nurture the “total person” who enriches the world and brings honor to Kingwood Park High School, now and throughout life.

Everything we do is focused around our mission:

1.  Kingwood Park High School will provide you the support and structure to help you develop into a successful student.

2.  We will help you to develop the basic fundamentals to become the best football player you can be.

3.  You will develop character as a Kingwood Park High School Panther.  This will allow you to represent yourself, your family, your community and your teammates in a positive way.

4.  Coming to Kingwood Park High School and playing football for the “Panthers” will be one of the greatest experiences of your life.  We will do everything we can to make it as fun as possible.

A STATEMENT OF PHILOSOPHY
from Coach Jim Holley

I believe that everyone in life has specific talents and abilities.  I have developed a PASSION to use these talents and abilities to lead, teach, guide and communicate.

I have chosen to use these talents in the field of athletics for two primary reasons.  First, is the fact that I have enjoyed personal involvement and enrichment in this area.  Second, is because of my strong belief that participation in a sound athletic program provides an avenue for learning the values of life that no other field offers.

While I feel that athletics is extremely important, participation should enhance the total academic experience and in no way interfere with it.  It is imperative that we remember that our

athletes are students first.

I believe in the dignity of every young person under my leadership.  My goal is to develop their positive self-image and self-respect, and to strengthen their sense of well-being.

I believe that I have the ability not only to win on the field of competition, but also to teach young people to be winners in life.
