This establishes the base for all subsequent theatre courses and serves as a general introduction to all the fundamental aspects of the theatre.

 

Prerequisite - Theatre Arts I

Students will develop skills and concepts introduced in Theatre Art I. Students will learn advanced acting skills. Modern theatre history will also be implemented

 

Theatre Arts III Grades 11-12 (5788)

Advanced level/performance based on course design for the highly motivated/serious theatre student. Students will be expected to attend several mainstage theatre productions after school hours. Careers in theatre and or film will be explored.

 

Theatre Arts IV Grade 12 (5789

Prerequisite - Theatre Arts III

1 Credit

Students will be involved in acting, directing, script analysis, play analysis and focused research.  Students will audition for main stage shows. Attendance after school is required.

 

Prerequisite - Theatre Arts I

This is for the student who is interested technical productions concepts and skills.   Carpentry, electrical design, setup, painting, research and various design techniques for  main stage production

 

Prerequisite - Technical Theatre II

1 Credit

Advanced level for the highly motivated serious student.  Students will be crew heads and or designers for the sets used in main stage production.

 

Prerequisite - Technical Theatre III

1 Credit

Highly advanced course for the serious student. Special attention to design and director concepts. Will design all aspects of a main stage production and complete implementation of the design process
