Reminder to Seniors and Senior Parents...
KHS PTSA awards Four $1,000.00 Senior Scholarships at the end of the school year.
To be eligible, you and your Senior Student must be members of the KHS PTSA.
Applications will become available in February in the College Room... look for PTSA Emails with details in February.
The same applies for the Humble Council of PTAs Senior Scholarships.
Kingwood High School has a few Departments that could always use Volunteers...
If you are interested in Volunteering at KHS in the areas of
the Copy Room, Library, English Department Book Room, Text Book Room, etc.,
then email us at and we will forward your response.
Remember, here at KHS, our PTA is known as a PTSA
We encourage our students of all grades to join as well and participate
when we need volunteers to help out with Teacher Appreciation Events.
Being a KHS PTSA Student Liaison Volunteer, let alone a PTSA Member,
is a great addition to any College Resume.
The focus of KHS PTSA has always been to support our teachers, which in turn,
directly impacts and supports your own child's experience at KHS.
With district-wide cutbacks, we are able to step-in to offer Teacher Grants to provide new classroom materials and updated technology.
That is why your Contribution to PTSA is so very important...  your Donation supports every single student.
If you have not yet joined as a Member of KHS PTSA for this school year, it is never too late.
We heard from a few of you at Stang Camp that you didn't want to join as you were not able to commit time
to volunteer or be on a committee.  Let us put your fears aside...
being a Member of KHS PTSA means that you are part of the Regular Membership
and that your Donation directly impacts and supports your own child's experience at KHS;
it does not commit you to volunteer or be on the executive board or to serve on a committee.
Membership for Parents , Students and Teachers is $10.00 per person
If you have previously been awarded a Texas State PTA Life Member Award from one of your child's schools,
then you have a reduced membership fee of $7.75 as a Life Member.
In addition to your Membership fee, if you still want to make a Donation to PTSA, we would be so appreciative.
Please email us... and don't forget to check with your company for a Matching Gifts Program.
Your dues gives you Membership in our local PTA, Texas State PTA and National PTA.
As part of the Regular Membership, you are invited to attend the Regular Board Meetings
(...for those of you involved with PTA for quite a while, National PTA changed the wording of
"General" Board Meeting and "General" Membership to now be reflected as "Regular" Board Meeting and "Regular" Membership).
KHS PTSA By-Laws stipulate that there will be three Regular Board Meetings held each year.
The Meeting Dates & Location will be announced in the KHS PTSA EMail Blasts.
Always bring your PTA Membership Card with you for admittance, should you attend a Regular Board Meeting.
Regular Board Meetings are for Regular Membership only;
Executive Board Meetings are for Executive Board Members only.

If you would like to receive the KHS PTSA Email Blast, just send your request to
You may also email to submit information for KHS Student Organizations, Booster Clubs or Organizations.
Please make sure that you have the address in your address book / contacts so you are able to receive PTSA emails.  It is a known issue that Suddenlink / Kingwoodcable filters the email address as spam and does not deliver the PTSA emails.  Hopefully, adding will resolve this issue.
