The mission of Cambridge School is to provide a personalized learning community which focuses on the future of each student, by facilitating the acquisition of academic, behavioral, social, and transition skills necessary for success in traditional school and the community at large, paths which empower them with skills to successfully live in our community and in our society.
HISD has provided childcare services at the Community Learning Center’s (CLC) Early Learning Wing for 20 years, and has built a comprehensive capacity for early learning education and childcare expertise. We have state of the art facilities that were built specifically for early learning and childcare services.
PACE ("Program of Accelerated Education") is a drop out prevention program that is available to students who may be at risk of not graduating from high school. Students may earn credits by repeating courses failed at his/her home campus. Students also have the opportunity to take classes for original credit, thus allowing them to graduate with the credits required by the Texas State Board of Education.
A disciplinary alternative education program (DAEP) defined as an educational and self-discipline alternative instructional program, adopted by local policy, for students in elementary through high school grades who are removed from their regular classes for mandatory or discretionary disciplinary reasons and placed in a DAEP.
