TIME MATTERS
ARRIVAL: School begins at 8:00. Students are dismissed from the cafeteria at 7:50 and are expected to be in their classroom ready to begin their workday at 8:00. The tardy bell rings at 8:05 a.m. Students who arrive after the tardy bell at 8:05 are to report to the front office to obtain an admission slip. Attendance is taken AT 10:00. Students not present at that time will be counted absent unless they have a doctor’s note.

DISMISSAL: Dismissal for Kindergarten is 1:50 and for grades 1-5, the dismissal times is at 3:20 for all students. All students must be picked up no later than 3:30. Supervision after that time is not provided. PLEASE make sure your children know how they will be going home before they leave for school in the morning. Changes in dismissal should be written and sent to the teacher. Should you have an emergency change of plan, please call the teacher’s voice mail to leave a message. All faculty and staff voice mail numbers are on WCE’s website. The teachers WILL check their phones before dismissal.

RAINY DAY DISMISSAL: In the event of weather warning, lightning or thunder, a rainy day dismissal will be determined at 3:05. Please be sure and review with your child the special arrangements that will be in place in the event of a rainy day dismissal. Procedures can be found in the PTA information packet you have received.

CAR POOL CARDS: If you need another one, please send a note to your teacher.

CAR-POOL-IQUETTE: Please do not park on the school-side on Hidden Lakes or Beaver Falls and park only going south on Tawny Oaks. Please do not use your cell phone when in our school zone. Also, remind your student to be careful when crossing a street and be respectful of the property of others.
